Omah Lay and Tems Released from Uganda Prison

Stanley Omah Didia popularly known as Omah Lay and Tems regained their freedom, following a ruling by Okumu Jude Muwone, Chief Magistrate Court of Makindye.

Their release was made public by Bebe Cool, a Ugandan singer, on Tuesday.

The Ugandan police had arrested on Sunday, December 13 both singers over their involvement in an unauthorized concert held on Saturday night after flouting COVID-19 guidelines in Uganda together with their managers for allegedly holding an illegal concert at The Big Brunch, which was held at Speke Resort, Wavamunno Rd, Kampala, Uganda with large crowds while the country was in lockdown. The pair were thereafter remanded in police custody alongside four Ugandans after they were arraigned before a court.

The pair have since garnered the support of Nigerians since their arrest in Uganda and are expected to be welcomed back in Nigeria on Wednesday.
