Global happiness may have felt far off as the COVID-19 pandemic raged. The latest World Happiness Report (WHR) has ranked Canada in 15th place, slipping down from the 10th position the previous year. But it is not only Canada that slipped down its previous rank, Nigeria also has dropped 38 points in six years, ranking 166th in this year’s report. However, Finland has maintained the lead, ranking 1st for four consecutive years.
The report released annually by a team of independent researchers and weighs six variables: income, freedom, trust in government, healthy life expectancy, social support, and generosity is set to be launched officially today.
