Dixon-Ogbechi, Bolajoko Nkemdinim (Ph.D.) was born in Lagos Island on 20 November 1971. She spent her early childhood in Italy and returned to Nigeria for higher studies. Prof. Bolajoko is an Alumni of The University of Lagos, she graduated with a Master of Science with distinction in Marketing and was followed by her Ph.D. in Marketing in 2009. Prof. Bolajoko (popularly called) has over two decades of experience as an academic at the University of Lagos and has served the University community in different capacities too numerous to mention. She was the Acting Head of Department Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences from 2017 – 2019.
She has authored, co-authored, and published in so many internationally renowned scholarly journals. She is the author of the following books: Decision Theory in Business-with Q/A, Research Methods and Elementary Statistics in Practice and The Fundamentals of Business Policy and Strategy.
Currently, Dixon-Ogbechi, Bolajoko Nkemdinim (Ph.D.) is a Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Lagos Akoka, a Board Member of Lagos State Triathlon Association and Member Ladies of Saint Mulumba, Eko Sub-Council.
Given her transparent and accountable academic track record at The University of Lagos, she was the only female appointee as recognized by President Muhammad Buhari to the Federal College of Education Technical Gombe Council to run the affairs of the Institute as a decision-maker.
In different capacities, she served and still serves with the National Universities Commission, where she is currently a Member of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Ad-Hoc Accreditation Panel.
At the 2019 elections in Nigeria, she served as a returning officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Lagos state and was the first returning officer to finish collating and present results in the Lagos state gubernatorial/HOA elections where she announced Desmond Elliot as the winner of the Surulere 1 Constituency despite the pressure of interference by third parties.
She is a recipient of so many awards, recognitions, and accolades too numerous to mention.
She speaks English, Italian, French, and Yoruba fluently. If she is not in the classroom teaching, you can find her Reading, Traveling, Dancing or Sporting.
Dixon-Ogbechi, Bolajoko Nkemdinim (Ph.D.) is married with three children.
