Kamala Harris graces Vogue cover

Vice-president elect Kamala Harris has been featured on the cover of Vogue magazine for February 2021.

The article written by Alexis Okeowo, recalls when Harris, 56 who has been holding onward ahead of the inauguration on 20, January 2021 following Trump’s incitement of Violence at the U.S Capitol, was faced with a similar dilemma in 2010 when she ran for attorney general of California, the race was so close that ballot counting went on for more than three weeks. (On election night that year, her opponent had declared victory, too.)

“I always say this: I may be the first to do many things—make sure I’m not the last,”

“I was thinking of my baby nieces, who will only know one world where a woman is vice president of the United States, a woman of color, a Black woman, a woman with parents who were born outside of the United States,” says Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
