DJ SWITCH ASYLUM NOT GRANTED

The government of Canada has clarified claims by persons peddling on social media that DJ switch has been granted asylum in Canada. The Canadian High Commission in Nigeria has referred individuals who want to immigrate to Canada to the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada website.

They wrote: “you cannot apply directly for resettlement. You must be referred to Canada by a designated referral organization or a private sponsor.”

In light of the recent interview granted by Obianuju Catherine Udeh, professionally known as DJ Switch to a section of the Canadian parliament in her request for asylum due to an alleged threat to her life after the Lekki Toll Gate shooting, which she filmed live on Instagram during the End SARS protest. The Canadian High Commission has been over flooded with requests to immigrate to Canada.

“No one can guarantee that your immigration application will be fast-tracked or approved. Only a Canadian migration officer can decide if you can come to Canada,” They said.
